Papà Orso is Massimo Raviola, a Veterinary Surgeon who, after 30 years of professional activity, decides to make a change in his life.

Thanks to the years of study and deepening for what was born as a simple curiosity, today he wants to transfer the passion for the culture of Beer and Whisky to all those people who want to understand the uniqueness and beauty of these two apparently different worlds but, in essence, similar, and united by the antiquity and spirituality of their history.

And how does he decide to do it? By opening the doors of the dining room of his house in Monferrato, whose origins date back to the XVII century.

In this house, which has always represented the link with his roots, today Papà Orso welcomes those who wish to approach the world of beer and great whisky with curiosity and interest, in an atmosphere that combines the familiarity of home with competence and professionalism of a public place.

“What I propose is the pleasure of national and foreign craft beers, selected from the finest new and old breweries; the exaltation of noble distillates produced with the slowness and care typical of Scottish and Irish producers; meditation or sharing wines from the great producers; tasting dishes rigorously cooked by me, elaborating grandmother's recipes".

Papà Orso also makes available to his Customers a space for purchases where, in addition to the beers and whisky selected by him, you can find a wide choice of artisan food products.

His library is always well stocked, including books, magazines, and comics, available for reading, exchange, or purchase.

And to better enjoy the evening, the large back garden awaits you to give you a beautiful glimpse of Monferrato.

Why Papà Orso?

“It’s the nickname that the girls of my American Football team gave me years ago and that I immediately felt mine. It therefore seemed natural to take it with me on this new adventure”.
